At Emeraudes Internationale School, preschool is an essential stage in a child's development. From Nursery to Year 1, we support children as they begin their learning journey in a caring, stimulating and structured environment. Our approach encourages every child to learn at their own pace, develop curiosity and gradually build confidence. We place great importance on play, exploration, communication and social interaction, which are essential foundations for early learning.
Through educational games, stories, songs, hands-on activities, simple experiments and creative projects, children discover the world around them. They develop their vocabulary and speaking skills, explore numbers, shapes, colours and sounds, and strengthen their fine and gross motor skills. These experiences help lay the foundations for early literacy, writing and mathematical development.
Exposure to French and English begins at an early age. Through age-appropriate activities, children become familiar with both languages, develop their listening and comprehension skills, and gradually expand their vocabulary. This early exposure encourages language awareness, active listening and the enjoyment of communicating in an environment that values different cultures.
Preschool is also an important time for learning how to live and work with others. Children learn to share, follow instructions, listen to others, express their feelings and participate in group activities.
